We invite you to Prague for the CZ/SK energy forum

On June 15-16, 2022, we will meet together in Prague to discuss the energy sector. The conference will bring together top representatives and experts in this field. We, as general partners, must not be missing either. Come and broaden your horizons and learn about the news, which will not be lacking. Together with the organizers, we have prepared a small bonus for you as a surprise.

Energy forum

This year, the Czech-Slovak Energy Forum Association will once again open its doors to a conference called the Czech-Slovak Energy Forum. It was also possible with the support of the most important Czech and Slovak companies in the field of energy.

This event follows on from the successful previous year, which was held in Brno. On it, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the founding of the common Czechoslovak Republic. This year the conference will be organized in Prague, more precisely in the STAGES hotel near the O2 Arena.

What awaits you at the conference?

Day 1

The conference starts on 15/06/2022 at 14:00. The beginning will be covered by the opening and the introduction, through which you will be guided by the moderator. But definitely don’t be late. Only half an hour later, the program will start with an introductory interview. The event is packed with discussions throughout the day.

Start and 1st block

The discussion will be conducted by the moderator Marián Jurečka, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labor and Social Affairs. The second discussant will be Jan Fousek, executive director of the AKU-BAT CZ association. Immediately after them, attention will be focused on the topic: DPI and how did it turn out?

You will learn how energy prices will develop and how prices will affect consumers. Measures to protect market participants will also be discussed at the conference. What will come next? Changes in the electricity market and topic: What impact did it have on the DPI institute and what changes can be expected?

2nd block

After the 2.5-hour discussion, there will be a 20-minute break, after which another discussion will follow. This time on the topic “how do we prepare the energy mix without gas?”” You will hear the opinions of 8 experts from leading energy companies in CZ/SK.

The postponement of the closure of coal mines and power plants will be discussed. The reform of the market with emission quotas will be addressed. The question will be raised whether electricity will be an unaffordable commodity for most households or whether a state energy supplier for households will be created. You will learn that and even more at the discussion.

The entire discussion will take place from 16:20 to 18:00. The one-hour break will be followed by the aforementioned bonus in the form of a social evening. You will have the opportunity to meet new people there.

Day 2

3rd block

The next day we start at 10:30 a.m. with a short introduction. After it, the 3rd block will begin, which will be moderated by MicroStep. The topic will be flexibility management for end consumers, which will be attended by up to 9 experts. In the 3rd block, the following topics will be discussed:

• How end customers will be involved in the energy supply security solution?
• What does the aggregator need?
• Is it possible to create the product for trading?
• Will it all pay off?

4th block

The 3rd block will last until 12:00 and will be followed by a lunch break. At 12:20, the 4th and final block of the entire forum is scheduled. It will be about battery storage as part of an important mix for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The participants will be 6 experts from the CZ/SK scene in the energy sector.

You will learn what the amended legislation must contain in order for significant development to occur, and what battery technologies are suitable for this. Also, what development of battery prices can we expect and what can the customer use the battery for.

Conclusion of the conference

At 14:00, the conclusion of the entire Czech-Slovak Energy Forum is scheduled. If you think that all the topics that will be discussed are for you, registration is now open.

Accommodation and entrance fees

Accommodation is not included in the price. We recommend staying directly at the STAGES hotel with a view of the O2 Arena. Until May 31, 2022, the entrance fee is €299. From June 1, 2022, the entrance fee increases to €399. Important personalities from the field, but also from the political sphere, are expected to participate in the conference.
